SPEAKER REVIEWS PARLIAMENT’S ACTIVITIES SINCE ELECTION
The Mongolian Parliament passed 525 bills, including 56 independent laws since it was formed, reported Parliament Speaker M.Enkhbold. The Speaker reviewed the activities of the Parliament over the last one year and five months at its last plenary meeting in 2017. The Parliament also issued 162 resolutions. “The 5.8 percent economic growth at the end of third quarter of 2017 is one indicator of the effectiveness of the resolutions and legislations adopted by the Parliament,” remarked the Speaker. The Speaker concluded that the Parliament successfully exercised its full authority in 2017, while expressing concerns regarding the agenda of the autumn session and attendance in plenary meetings.
